Are you in need of high-speed internet access? Is your current high-speed internet access becoming too expensive to maintain? If you answered yes to either of these questions, we would like to share two current programs that could help.
The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a 14.2-billion-dollar federal program that helps qualifying families offset the cost of broadband internet by providing up to $30/month as a credit towards your internet service.
Comcast offers a program that provides high-speed home internet at $9.95/month for 50g download speeds and $29.99/month for 100g download speeds. They also offer a brand new, internet-ready Dell Laptop, for a one-time cost of $149.99, and free online digital skills training if parents/guardians are interested.
You have the ability to access these two programs separately, however, when combined, you could have high speed internet at no cost each month.
- ACP program, the $30 credit will go towards their internet service.
- Comcast Internet Essentials (or Internet Essentials Plus) provides 50/10 internet service for $9.95/month (or 100/20 speeds for $29.99/month). There is no tax, credit checks, term contract, or cancellation fee.
- Together – ACP provides $30/month to offset the cost of Internet Essentials Plus at $29.99/month, making the cost $0/month.
