The Office of Talent Management (OTM) is not just a place where people visit to inquire about employment opportunities and submit applications; it is the home to a staff who strive to recruit, retain and develop the highest quality teachers and leaders the education sector has to offer.

EAP (Employee Assistant Program)
“EAP is a free employee assistant program, available for all New London Public Schools employees. Employees can contact EAP through its confidential 24/7 hot line at (800) 526-3485. Solutions EAP offers confidential, face-to-face counseling with experienced therapists, as well as telephonic consultation. Solutions EAP can help with just about any kind of concern, large or small. The EAP counselor will help you define the issues, sort things out, and develop a plan of action. This is the heart of what EAP does: helping you get in control of the situation so that it is more manageable. In some cases, the EAP will refer you to an ongoing or specialized resource. If so, referrals are usually made within your medical insurance plan to help offset costs”.

403(b)/457(b)
All benefit eligible employees can enroll in a 403(b) or 457(b) retirement account through OMNI. OMNI is an independent third-party administrator dedicated to ensuring that 403(b), 457(b), and other employer provided benefits operate in compliance with IRS regulations. OMNI does not offer financial advice, nor does OMNI recommend any particular investment or investment provider. OMNI charges an administrative fee for its services that is paid by the employer, employee, the employee’s investment provider or a combination thereof. They do not receive any commission-based fees and their fees do not vary based upon investment product or provider.
Your first step will be to contact a participating 403(b)/457(b) investment provider to establish your investment account. A list of participating investment providers is available on NLPS’ Plan Detail Page (https://omni403b.com/plandetail/816) After working with your investment provider to establish your account and select investment vehicles, you will then need to complete an OMNI Salary Reduction Agreement (SRA) to initiate your payroll deductions.
To complete an OMNI SRA, first step is to click on the link https://omni403b.com/SRA/Landing and select CT and type in New London Public Schools. You’ll be brought to the Salary Reduction Agreement Form; you’ll chose the form you’d like to complete and make sure you bring the completed form to the Business Office to complete Part 7 and then return the form to OMNI to process.
