Welcome to NLHSMMC Student Services!
Located on the first floor of the Main Building, the Student Services department at New London High School Multi-Magnet Campus is here to assist students and parents with any of their academic needs! Every NLHSMMC student is assigned to one of our six outstanding school counselors. Students may make appointments with their counselors during study periods, before and after school, or by special arrangement. Appointment requests are available in the Student Services office.
Looking for help with the following issues?- developing a high school plan
- academic, career, and/or personal counseling
- college admissions and financial aid assistance
- full or part-time employment
- exploring career and college support
- and so much more!

The objectives of the department are to foster initiative, encourage students to set goals, and to reinforce the importance of personal responsibility. Parents are urged to become acquainted with their students' school counselor.

College and Common Application:
Students are responsible for checking deadlines for their college and common application choices. Please be sure to contact your counselors prior to submitting applications. Most college applications can be completed through CommonApp.org.

FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid):In order to receive Federal Aid, including scholarships, grants, and loans from public universities, students must submit their FAFSA application no later than February 15, 2018. Students will need the following information in order to complete the application:- Student Social Security Number
- Parent Social Security Number
- Parent FSA ID
- Student FSA ID
- Student 2016 Tax Forms (if applicable)
- Parent 2016 Tax Forms (or proof of independent)
- CT W-2 forms may also be required.

Scholarships:There are many opportunities to earn money to assist student with their post-secondary plans. Several scholarships are posted through Naviance.org.
