Transportation (Bus) Waivers:
Parents or guardians of students not entitled to free transportation may request a “Transportation Waiver” from the Superintendent of Schools. The Superintendent or designee may grant such a waiver on a “first come, first served,” basis if the following conditions are met:
- The granting of the waiver does not require an additional bus, alter existing bus routes, or add any new stops.
- The vehicle that stops closest to the student’s place of residence has available seats within its listed capacity.
- The student requesting the waiver can get to the designated stop in a safe manner.
- The waiver shall state that it will be revoked on a “last granted, first revoked” basis in the event that additional students eligible for free transportation are assigned to that bus.
