Our NJROTC unit offers a unique opportunity for you to develop self confidence and leadership skills with a focus on mutual respect and personal responsibility. The fundamentals you learn in this course will be beneficial throughout life regardless of what career you choose. Emphasis throughout the school year will be on participation: your effort,knowledge and confidence and demonstrate responsibility,initiative, and a willingness to learn, you will assume positions of greater leadership and responsibility within the unit, school and community. Cadets who successfully complete the NJROTC program will graduate from New London High School knowing that "all doors can be opened with good manners and a smile. THERE IS NO MILITARY OBLIGATION ASSOCIATED WITH THE NJROTC PROGRAM. NJROTC IS AN ELECTIVE. CADETS ARE IN THE PROGRAM BECAUSE THEY WANT TO BE. The NJROTC program goals emphasize developing each cadet's responsibility as an American citizen through classroom instruction,physical fitness, respectful conduct, good personal appearance and leadership training.
