Please Read a Welcome Message from Donna Slate Principal

Dear Parents,
My name is Ms. Slate; and I am the principal of Nathan Hale School. The educators at this school focus on academic achievement for all students. This year we have a new math program called “Envision” which is interactive and will capture the interest of both children and adults.
Last year, our fifth graders scored 84% in mathematics, 88% in writing, and 91% in science on the Connecticut Mastery Tests.
We will continue to have pajama reading nights and movie activities in the evenings several times during the year at Nathan Hale School. Please check your child’s backpack every night for reminders.

       A few tips for your child’s success:
Homework is to be done every night. 

       Students must read every night and visit the library.      

      Uniforms are required in the New London School system.

      Please send healthy snacks only.
( No soda, chips, or sports drinks.)
