RACHEL MORALES

NATHAN HALE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

New London Public Schools (NLPS) announces the district's Student of the Month for March 2010:  Rachel Morales, a grade 5 student at Nathan Hale Elementary School. 

Rachel is a model student, who excels in all subject areas.  Her exceptional, organizational skills and work study habits are evident with each school day. She possesses superb reading skills and proves to be a wonderful help to her peers.  Throughout each day, Rachel establishes goals. 

A SEMI Enrichment Program student, Rachel received exemplary writing scores on her Connecticut Mastery test this past school year, and currently, she is a member of the Instrumental Program, where she is learning to play the flute. 

Always beaming with a smile and willing to share a sense of humor, Rachel is a true asset to Nathan Hale Elementary School.  Nathan Hale Principal, Donna Slate, says “Rachel is a wonderful role model for her peers at Nathan Hale, and we all are quite proud of her.”
