The Holocaust: Bullies, Victims and Allies
A Webquest for 7th graders

Introduction: The Holocaust was an example of genocide (Definition of genocide by Raphael Lemkin) based on religion and culture. Unfortunately, genocide is still being committed in the twenty-first century. It is your job to educate your peers and others not only about the Holocaust, but about “making the right decisions” in today’s society.

Task: You are a newspaper reporter living in modern times. Your paper has a very limited budget and therefore cannot send you all over the world to cover these stories. However, you do have access to the World Wide Web.

Your newspaper wants you to report on the events of the Holocaust to coincide with the 60th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp. You will be assigned to either group A, B or C (For Teachers Only)
