The Connecticut State Department of Education makes the annual Strategic School Profiles available on its website. The Profiles are based upon information submitted by school districts across the state. The Strategic School Profiles provide information on student need, school resources, school performance, and student performance.

The Strategic School Profiles serve two basic purposes:

They serve as an accountability system which informs the public about what is happening in CT schools; and
They encourage school improvement via shared information.
